FLY 3: FALL-WINTER 2012-2013
In 1980, when FLY3 is founded, the first reversible garment is created:water-repellent wool on one side and rainproof fabric on the other with hyper-resistant in tone stitchings. In 2012 FLY3 evolution reaches its zenith producing a seamless sweater in weatherproof wool on one side and silk on the other. Silk, typical concept of the '70 underwear, is now applied to WEATHERLY patent, dated 2007 : thanks to HI-TEX technology FLY3 sweater becomes lighter without losing the peculiar fascination of Archetipi, historical part of FLY3 collections. The patent concerns the seamlessandreversiblegarment, made of wool on one side and cotton on the other, with a cashmere and cotton version. Even in technology, where syntetical materials reined supreme, all that is natural and eco-friendly is absolutely respected; right from the start FLY3 rigourously makes use of ecological yarns, fabrics and packaging material : its Softly special yarn is a mix of cashmere, cotton and bamboo fibers with unique peculiarities: transpiracy, antibacterial and UV resistance. Development and research never standstill : absolutely unique is the evolution of WHITELY, the “whitened effect coming by the sea”according to which seamless and reversible garments are wearable on one side with an elegant plain colour, and on the other side with the refined charme of a whitened color.
Next Fall/Winter, 2SHADE garments become authentic 2color sweaters in “whitely” green, royal, coal on one side and navy on the other side. The color card lights up with ruby red , orange and sage green, matching with the typical FLY3 colorways greige, blue and navy. Heart of the collection are the reversible garments in their 2SHADE, WHITELY e WEATHERPROOF versions, shown in different yarns and gauges.
From style TAMATA, confortable ribbed sweater with a handknitted look, to light merinos extrafine ENDEAVOUR and CA'MOGLI, to the 100% cashmere J-CLASS. Their names resound sailors, ships and places that make us dream even today. Brand new issues for next Fall/Winter are:the knitted blazer with revised fit, water-resistant wool, rigorously navy color and in a whitely version; the montgomery, produced since 30 years in a historical double framework pure weatherproof wool fabric.
