OFFELLERIA TACCHINARDI PRESENTS THE BRAND "DNA CONTROLLED"

On the occasion of Expo Days that have been in Milan from 30/4 to 6/5 as part of "The Land Meets Science" at the Museo del Risorgimento in Milan, coordinated by the Technology Park in Lodi, on the day of May 1 was presented the first product certified by the Italian brand "DNA controlled".

The “Parco Tecnologico Padano” of Lodi has put its expertise at the disposal of Offelleria Tacchinardi 1805 that, in partnership with the Rural Rice and Frogs District of the province of Milan and Eataly, has created a product that will be served onboard the Italo train . Thanks to the modern biotechnologies Offelleria can now give consumers the originality and the traceability of the principal ingredient of the product: Carnaroli rice.

As part of Dr. David Ederle, Head of External Relations of the PTP, explained how this new system providing "eyes closed" product: "Food safety and traceability, the quality of what ends up our tables are essential to ensure a healthy and conscious at all. To protect that right there is a strong law that provides control and assurance systems. Unfortunately, there are plenty of scandals and those who try to circumvent controls. And 'here comes in the Park. All living things contain a special molecule in fact, that makes them unique: the DNA. A sort of trademark that we, with our biotech platform, we read to verify that the products that end up on our tables there is one that should be there and there is one that should not be there. "

While Dr. Marco Magni, Director of the District and Tiziana Polimeno AD Offelleria Tacchinardi of 1805 explained the rationale underlying their cooperation.

In particular, Tiziana Polimeno explained that he was contacted by the District to "create" products with Carnaroli rice flour, which is made from scraps of this variety of rice that is the most prized in the world and the world has known as "risotto rice", with the intent is to enhance a precious fruit of the earth, not only to the territory where it is grown and trying to "approximate" consumers to the products it offers.

Thus was born the "Heart of the Artist ®" orange prepared, in fact, with only the District Carnaroli rice flour, almond flour, butter, sugar, zest and orange juice, which contains all the experience and passion characterize the work of the ancient company.

Marco Magni explained that projects of this nature are among the primary goals of the District, which encompasses 23 municipalities of the province of Milan with 195 companies and a rice-growing area of 6000 hectares cultivated.

One result is the first product of "chain" of Milanese territory certificate with DNA controlled, thanks to the partner-ship with Eataly, which belongs to the family Farinetti, will be served aboard the brand new Italian high speed train.

What better time to give visibility to the hard work and dignity of those who till the land, what better opportunity to bring consumers the latest discoveries that provides biotechnology with the aim to ensure maximum responsiveness to the true actual use, in food, quality ingredients, as well as to remind those who live in the catchment area the goodness and uniqueness of the fruits it offers, who knows if this would mean the person learns to respect it more.
